A glimpse of what I’ve been reading over this last weekend..

The Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook
The Intentional Spinner
Start Spinning
Hand Dyeing Yarn and Fleece
Not shown is another dyeing book I’m reading through, Teach Yourself Visually Hand Dyeing.

Oak Meadow: Kinder syllabus, book of fairy tales, and first book of crafts. Planning for fall.
Taproot: Amanda Soule’s newly launched magazine. So, so lovely.
How to Sell Your Crafts Online: A book I’m sure I’ll reference more, as I move more towards opening my own shop for a variety of items. (More on that later!)

I am reading a few more books that aren’t listed here, but I’ve added a GoodReads widget to my sidebar. I’ve been keeping track of books I’ve read for the last several years with GoodReads. I believe last year was my lowest year, in terms of how many books I got read. This year is off to a good start!

  1. Hey! Your blog is back! I saw it was gone ages ago, and after trying a few times, figured that was it…but just now I typed ‘m’ into my browser, and this came up, so I clicked over just to see…:)

I hope you write more about your schooling plans, I’m really interested to hear what you’re going to be doing. I’m still trying to figure out what exactly I’m going to do with Eilidh. I know I still have a little time, but it’s actually creeping up pretty fast! A year and a half will fly by.

    • Ha, yeah. I’m still not sure on why I felt such a strong pull to bringing the blog down for awhile, but I am glad that I did – I think I needed the downtime without feeling like I was leaving it hanging, you know?

I’m hoping to write a lot more about the schooling plans soon! And yes, I know what you mean about getting it pulled together. A year and a half sounds like a long time, but then I honestly feel like it was just The Other Day and I was still pregnant with Calliope. Except now she’s this squawky 8 month old at my feet!

      • Exactly! Time is just whizzing by, I am in shock that Thorin’s first birthday is less than a week away! It’s a good thing I wasn’t planning on doing anything big, because I’m sure not prepared at ALL.
